Casting light on the hidden :An exploration with Levis Kipkoech

I  started a journalistic journey in the lovely village of kapseret in Eldoret that resulted in an inspirational story around Levis Kipkoech.  Levis was a youthful idealist who encountered criticism from people around him. His story has since been shared as evidence of the human spirit's persistence. As I explored Kapseret center, I came across Levis, a visionary who had the bold idea to develop a game-changing mobile app. The drawback? Many questioned his ability, pointing out that he had no formal computer science training. His persistent determination intrigued me, so I made the decision to record his adventure. “I overcame the obstacles in this path by participating in local tech meetings, self-educating relentlessly and staying up late to code.” He said

Despite all the obstacles, Levis persisted and eventually launched his software to great success. In addition to satisfying a need in the industry, the app demonstrated his indisputable skill as a self -taught developer.

Through the medium of journalism, I was able to document the story’s development from doubt and uncertainty to celebration of Levis’s remarkable accomplishment.

His story struck a chord with the people of Kapseret and became an inspiration to them. By writing about his success I was able to highlight the important lesson that came to light- namely, the amazing strength that comes from having confidence in oneself even in the face of doubt from others.
